Faculty Positions in Electrical and Computer Engineering

The University of Minnesota – Twin Cities invites applications and nominations for faculty positions Department
of Electrical and Computer Engineering from individuals with a strong background in core areas of ECE,
particularly (1) power and energy systems and (2) systems, communications, and controls, with interests in
bio- or medical-imaging, big data, information processing, or systems biology. Applicants with interdisciplinary
interests are particularly encouraged. Positions are expected to be at the rank of assistant professor, although
exceptional candidates at all ranks in all areas of strategic need will be considered. We are especially interested
in receiving applications from women and members of other underrepresented groups.
Successful candidates will have outstanding academic and research records and are expected to establish a vigorous,
funded research program, teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and be involved in service to the university
and the profession. An earned doctorate in an appropriate discipline is required at the time of the appointment.
Rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
