                                    EE3005 : Fundamental of Electrical Engineering

                                       Summer Semester, 2008

 

 

Course Description  (4.0 credits) :  Basic circuit analysis and measurement, first and second order transients, steady state ac circuits, resonance and frequency response , digital logic circuits, diode circuits, electronic amplifiers, field –effect transistors ,  bipolar junction transistors, operational amplifiers , AC and DC machines .

 

Prerequisites: Phys. 1302, Math 2243

 

Lecture: 8:00-9:55 AM  M,Tu, W, F.

Grading

 

Homework : 10%

Quizzes :25% (25% of the lowest grades will be discarded)

Exam 1 : 10% (50 minutes)

Exam 2 : 20% (50 minutes)

Exam 3 : 35% (2 hours)

 

For the homework, the students are encouraged to discuss with other students but copying others’ homework solutions is not allowed . Unless otherwise stated, homework is due on Monday. Late homework will not be accepted.

The quizzes will be 1 hour and be given once/week on Wednesday at the end of the class.
