Jan Makowski started his university education in 2001 at Chemitz University of Technology, Germany. In the fall of 2004 he came to the United States on a Fulbright Scholarship to attend the University of Minnesota. He joined the research group in May 2005 to work on NEMS. His research interest is in NEMS, MOEMS and MEMS in III-V semiconductors. He is expected to receive the MSEE degree in June 2005. He is going to proceed towards his PhD
