Sangho Sam Kim received the B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering (summa cum laude) from the Pusan National University, South Korea. He worked at Engine Control System Design Team at Hyundai & Kia Motor Company after he got the M.S. degree in Mechatronics Engineering from the Gwangju Institute of Science & Technology (GIST). He is now currently working toward a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Minnesota. He has been studying on MEMS field since 2001.

His interests include Nano Electromechanical System (NEMS), Biophotonic MEMS, microsensors and microactuators.
