The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Minnesota offers a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering (B.E.E.) degree. The B.E.E. prepares its graduates for careers in the many areas of electrical engineering. The required core courses provide a solid foundation on which a graduate can build a career in many different areas. The technical elective courses allow students to concentrate in one of several areas, including biomedical engineering, communications, computer systems, control systems, electric energy systems and power electronics, microelectronic devices and circuit design, optics, magnetics, very large scale integrated (VLSI) circuits, signal processing, and more.
