ECE Co-op Programs

OBJECTIVES

Three main objectives of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Co-op Program (ECECP) are:

  1. To augment the student's technical education with hands on experience in industry.
  2. To provide financial support to students.
  3. To allow the student to alternate periods of full-time study and full-time work.

To meet these objectives, many industrial firms and some government agencies are cooperating with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department to provide employment opportunities for junior and senior electrical and computer engineering students.

Employers take their responsibility to students very seriously, making a sincere effort to expose them to as many facets of the organization's operations as possible, by assigning meaningful engineering tasks, and providing an environment in which students can grow both technically and interpersonally.

The Co-op Programs are detailed in the Semester Systems Curriculum Guides.
