Many graduate students ask if 4000 level courses in EE or in other programs
can be counted for credit on their MS or PhD degree program.
The general rule is: If a program allows its own graduate students to take one of its
4000 level courses for credit then EE will allow it on their graduate
student's program, if a program does not allow a course on their own
graduate student's program then EE will not allow it.
Some programs have given us a list of specific 4000 level courses that are
allowed on their own graduate student's programs as well as 4000 level
courses that are taught primarily for the benefit of graduate students in
other programs. The list below shows the 4000 level courses that EE will
allow on graduate student degree programs.
Electrical Engineering : The 4000 Level Courses listed below are allowed on
EE Graduate Student Programs (if a course is not listed students should
assume it is not acceptable on their program)

Statistics : The 4000 Level Courses listed below are allowed on EE Graduate
Student Programs (if a course is not listed students should assume it is
not acceptable on their program)
