The research areas of my group are optoelectronic devices and
photonic integrated circuits, and high-speed and RF/microwave devices
and circuits. The optoelectronics research is in high speed lasers,
laser amplifiers, optical modulators, dielectric rare earth doped
waveguide lasers and amplifiers. We are also developing new
techniques for modeling optical guides, which act as optical
interconnects in photonic integrated circuits, and also modeling of
lasers and laser amplifiers. The projects involve design,
fabrication and testing of new devices, and integrated circuit
concepts.
