My research focuses primarily on integrating photonic and magnetic materials
and devices onto convenient platforms. Fabricating and characterizing
waveguide isolator and modulator devices using magneto-optic and
electro-optic materials. Also working in self-organized nanostructures for
photonic crystals and nanowire arrays. Nanowire work includes
magnetoelectronics and acoustic sensors. Other projects involve
perpendicular recording media and conformal CVD coating of gas sensing
materials onto nanostructures.
