Synopsis
My research interests are in the field of power system engineering. This area of electrical engineering is concerned with the application of control and optimization techniques to the design of power systems and power system control. Many of the problems of power system engineering involve development of special computer algorithms to solve the steady-state conditions or to optimize the operation of a power system network.
My current interests are in the development of new deregulated electric power market configurations using mechanism design, in new algorithms to accurately allocate losses and other ancillary service-related quantities to transactions made on a transmission system, and control systems which use small-area transmission models and network communications to solve large transmission system problems.
