Alfonso Cano Pleite Short BioAlfonso Cano Pleite (S'01) received the Telecommunications Engineering degree and the Ph.D degree in Communications Technologies with honors from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Madrid, Spain, in 2002 and 2006, respectively. From 2002-2003, he was with the Dept. of Signal Theory and Communications of the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. From 2003-2006, he was with the Dept. of Signal Theory and Communications of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid, Spain. During spring-fall 2004, 2005 and 2006 he visited the SPiNCOM group at the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Minnesota, in Minneapolis, MN, USA, in which he is a post-doctoral researcher since 2007. His research interests lie in the areas of signal processing and communications, including space-time coding, time-frequency selective channels, distributed communication systems and distributed learning. |
