12/2006 - : Gr.2 research/teaching assistant position in the Telecommunications Department, Instituto de Ingeniería Eléctrica (IIE), Facultad de Ingeniería, Universidad de la República, Montevideo, Uruguay. Currently on leave for doctoral studies at the University of Minnesota.

Programming and commissioning of distributed control systems (DCS). Major experience on AC/DC motor+drive based applications, digital fieldbuses (Profibus) and industrial TCP-IP networks.
08/2002 - 08/2003: Proyectos Engineering-Consultancy, Montevideo, Uruguay. Member of the Production Scheduling team, whose main responsibility was the implantation of S-Plan (primarily on the paper industry), a finite capacity scheduling software.
