I am a PhD candidate at the department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Minnesota, working with professors Nikos Sidiropoulos and Georgios Giannakis. I received the B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Alexandria University in 2006, and the M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from Nile University in 2009.

Research Projects

  • Wideband power spectrum sensing from few bits received from scattered low-end sensors.
  • Developing an algorithm for joint multicast beamforming and antenna selection.
  • Using stochastic geometry to model and analyze femtocell networks, and to compare between sharing and splitting the spectrum for co-existing macro- and femtocell networks.
  • Optimizing schemes that increase the achievable rates of the Gaussian interference channel.
