SPACE VECTOR DECOMPOSITION

This demo animates the motion of the  space vector f under balanced sinusoidal conditions, appearing as constant amplitude vectors rotating at the excitation frequency ωs. The magnitude can be  adjusted by sliding point F along the α axis. The components depend on the choice of reference frame. In the stationary αβ frame, the components are time varying representing two-phase sinusoidal signals at  frequency ωs. In the rotating synchronous dq frame, the dq components are constants whose values depend on the orientation of the space vector with respect to the dq axes. The time derivative df/dt of the space vector in the synchronous frame can be represented by the velocity vector vf of the terminus of the space vector f ; this vector is perpendicular to f and has an amplitude of |vf| = ωs |f|.
