dq windings | current space vectors | reference frames

This animation illustrates the equivalent dq windings of an ac machine together with the current space vector I (valid for both stator or rotor) represented by either a fixed or a rotating vector chosen by means of slider m. Manually dragging around the red dot at the terminus of the fixed vector will impart a time evolution to the vector.The components of the space vector may be viewed along the common dq orthogonal axes which can be attached to an arbitrary frame rotating at the default speed ωk=1.4 , or to a synchronous frame rotating at ωs=1.0, or to a stationary stator frame at ωk=0, or to a rotor frame rotating at  ωm=0.9. These default speed settings can be changed by accessing the object properties of the relevant sliders .
