International Conference on Magnetic Recording Heads and Systems
The Magnetic Recording Conference (TMRC 2011)
will be held on Aug. 29-31, 2011 at the
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
TMRC 2011 will focus on MAGNETIC RECORDING HEADS and RECORDING SYSTEMS. Approximately 36 invited papers of the highest quality will be presented orally at the conference and will later be published in the IEEE Transactions on Magnetics.

Poster sessions feature contributed posters in addition to invited speaker posters. Poster contributors must send a one-page abstract to the Poster Chairman, Dr. Xiaobin Wang Xiaobin.Wang@seagate.com, by August 8, 2011. See TMRC 2011 website for contact information. Poster abstracts received and approved by July 29 will be included in the printed Digest Book.

The 2011 MINT Annual Review will be held on Thursday, September 1, immediately following TMRC. There will be approximately 20 talks focused on magnetic recording and spintronics research performed at the University of Minnesota over the last year. This year, all TMRC registrants are welcome to attend free of charge, even if your organization is not a MINT member. Please email MINT director, Professor Randall Victora (victora@umn.edu), to obtain a registration form and preliminary schedule.
