BRIEF BIOGRAPHY


Born in Athens, Greece, on October 18, 1956, received the diploma in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens in 1979, and the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida in 1983.

Serving as a co-director of the Control Science and Dynamical Systems Center (since 1990), currently together with Gary Balas.
Has served as an Associate Editor for

Elected to the Board of Governors of the Control Systems Society of the IEEE (2002-2005),

Recipient of a Best Instructor Award by the Institute of Technology Student Board at the University of Minnesota in 1994.
