Overview

Digital signal processing (DSP) applications are becoming more prevalent in everyday use. Because of this widespread usage and advances in computer technology, the DSP algorithms themselves are being subjected to more demanding specifications. There is a constant need for designing systems with lower power, higher speed, and lower area. To this end, we are developing new algorithms, architectures, techniques, and design tools. Past research was focussed on high-level algorithm and architecture transformations, VLSI Digital and adaptive filters, error control coders, computer arithmetic, high-level synthesis and rapid prototyping. Current research projects are listed below.
