Research Interests of Prof. Keshab K. Parhi
Overview
Digital signal processing (DSP) applications are becoming more prevalent in everyday use. Because of this widespread usage and advances in computer technology, the DSP algorithms themselves are being subjected to more demanding specifications. There is a constant need for designing systems with lower power, higher speed, and lower area. To this end, we are developing new algorithms, architectures, techniques, and design tools. Past research was focussed on high-level algorithm and architecture transformations, VLSI Digital and adaptive filters, error control coders, computer arithmetic, high-level synthesis and rapid prototyping. Current research projects are listed below.
Research Topics
Ultra Wideband Systems
High-Speed Transceivers
3D Video Systems
Soft-Decision Reed-Solomon Decoder
LDPC Decoder Architectures
Crypto Accelerators
