I am an associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Minnesota.

I am studying the integration of magnetic and photonic materials for novel spintronic devices, recording, photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and photonic crystals.

I studied at Case Western Reserve University for my undergraduate work, and at MIT for my PhD. Following that I was a National Research Council (NRC) Postdoc at the US Air Force Research Laboratory.
